BSR Member Forum
Tuesday, November 12, 2019 • 1:30 pm-4:30 pm • Regency Ballroom I, Banquet Level
Leading up to the start of BSR19, this intimate event will bring together leaders from our global network of member companies to share challenges, explore best practices, and network.
Part One: Building Strategies Post-2020
For years, 2020 was a distant concept; the end-point for business goals and timelines. With many sustainability strategies and goals expiring in 2020, it is now time for companies to think about their priorities for the next 10 years.
The next phase of work requires building resilient business strategies with sustainability at their core. Gone are the days of piecemeal, siloed approaches and ticking off the quick wins—now is the time to reset the trajectory recognizing the interwoven reality of business, society, and the consumer.
Through a facilitated discussion with colleagues in your industry, this interactive session will prompt you to reflect on lessons learned from the past decade of sustainability management and begin to examine the trends, uncertainties, and sustainability imperitives that will influence the development of meaningful 2030 goals for your own company.
Part Two: deepening Your Impact by Priortizing Your Personal Well-Being
Working in the sustainability field offers a tremendous opportunity to positively contribute to a more just and sustainable world, yet comes with its unique sources of stress. For example, the sheer scale of sustainability issues and the change management required to make lasting progress can be demanding at times, leading to physical and mental exhaustion. This workshop will explore the relationship sustainability professionals hold with work, how organizations and teams can support employee well-being, and offer practical exercises and tips to help you prioritize your own self-care and renewal to ultimately deepen your impact.
Part Three: Huddle with BSR’s President and CEO, Aron Cramer
The forum will conclude with a brief presentation and members-only conversation with BSR’s President and CEO Aron Cramer.
